KYIV MUSIC DAYS | 2019

Kyiv Music Days is an industry conference taking place twice a year, and this time—in the frame of Ukrainian Music Fair 2019. It is dedicated to showbiz, artist promotion, event production, concert technologies, marketing and all that jazz; and its 3d autumn edition in partnership with L-Acoustics went under the title ‘Autumn Sound’. Our task was to create the event’s visual identity.

With all due respect, we were not quite satisfied with the way our predecessors used the logo, so first of all, we cleared the ID of all excessive elements and visual entropy, leaving it bare. We used the dark night blue as the background color, meaning the darkness of event halls. The inspiration for the colorful dots pattern was a blinking panel of mixing desk — since sound was the main topic of the gathering. We used warm, muted, autumn shades, including yellow and rusty red, aligning with the colors of the Ukrainian Music Fair. In order to connect those two events vusually, we tried to incorporate the similar element of a classic sculpture into the ID — a marble could-be hand of a sound engeneer. But the client was enchanted by the minimalistic version and preferred it.
